How ReelsDey works

Turn one long video into publish-ready clips with captions, copy and thumbnails — then post clips, full videos, flyers and quotes across all your platforms, on your schedule. Every new account starts with a free 7-day trial.

Step 1

Add your video

On your dashboard, under New clip job, give ReelsDey the video in one of two ways.

Paste a video link
Recommended for long videos. Paste a YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox or direct MP4 link — the server downloads it directly, with no upload wait or size limit.
Upload a file
Choose the file from your device (up to 2 GB). For long or large videos, a link is faster and more reliable than an upload.

If you paste a YouTube link, set the video to Public or Unlisted first — private videos can't be downloaded. For anything large, always use the link rather than upload.

Step 2

Choose your settings

Every control on the form, and what it does:

Clips
How many clips to cut (1–10). More clips means more posts from a single upload.
Audio
Clean & level removes noise and balances the loudness so voices stay clear. This is the default and keeps everything in sync.
Background musicPlus
Add a soft music bed that auto-ducks under the speech. Pick a royalty-free track from the library, or upload your own (tick the rights box).
Clip length
Short (30–90s) for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Standard (2–5 min) and Long (8–12 min)Plus, and Full-video polishPro — enhances a whole 1–45 min video without cutting it.
Teaser / thumbstopperPlus
Adds a short, attention-grabbing cold-open hook to the start. Turn on to hook viewers in the first seconds.
Thumbnail kicker
A short branding line stamped on the thumbnails (e.g. your name or show). Two to four words, or leave blank for a clean thumbnail.
Vertical + captions
Check for 9:16 vertical with burned-in captions (Reels, TikTok, Shorts). Uncheck to keep the original horizontal framing for landscape YouTube.
Vertical framing
Fit whole frame (default) shows the full screen-share or both faces on a blurred background — nothing is ever cropped. Fill / crop to center zooms in full-screen, best only for a single centred speaker.
Cover frame
Bakes the thumbnail in as a short opening frame, so the downloaded clip is post-ready — it becomes the cover on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Shorts.
Agent mode
Leave on — the AI selects the strongest moments. Turn off only to split the video into even parts.
Copy packPlus
Also generates three short-form scripts, a LinkedIn/X post and a newsletter from the same video.
Auto-postPlus
Automatically posts every clip to your connected accounts when the job finishes. Connect your accounts first (Step 3).
Spread the posts
With Auto-post on, drip the clips — all now, one per day, every two or three days, or weekly — so one video keeps your feed active for weeks.

Then select Generate clips + copy and refresh to watch the job move from queued to processing to done.

Step 3

Connect your accounts

A one-time setup so ReelsDey can publish for you. On the dashboard:

Connect YouTube
Links your channel so clips can post to YouTube.
Connect your socials
Opens a secure page to link Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and Threads. Use Manage / add accounts to add or change any of them later.

Instagram must be a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page, and Facebook posts publish to a Page (not a personal profile). That's a platform requirement for automated posting, not a ReelsDey limit.

Step 4

Post and schedule

When a job is done, each clip shows download links and posting controls.

Automatic
If you enabled Auto-post, the clips are already published or scheduled — the status line under each clip shows where it went.
Post it yourself
Tick the platforms you want, optionally set a schedule time, then select Post / Schedule. You control exactly where and when each clip goes.
Download instead
Prefer to post by hand? Download the MP4 and thumbnail for any clip, plus the captions file and copy pack.

Each clip's status confirms the result — for example “Sent to TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn” or “Scheduled for a set date and time.”

Beyond clips

Post more than clipsPlus

ReelsDey isn't only a clip maker — it's a posting hub. Right on the dashboard you can also publish three other kinds of content to the same connected accounts, now or scheduled.

Post a full video
Post a finished video ReelsDey didn't clip — short or long, as-is. Paste a link or upload a file (up to 2 GB), add a caption, pick platforms, post or schedule.
Post a flyer / image
Upload a flyer or graphic (up to 10 for a carousel) with a caption and post it to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and more. YouTube is video-only, so it's skipped.
Post a quote / text
Post a text-only update — a quote or a thought, no image needed — to X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads and Reddit. Instagram and TikTok need an image, so they're skipped.

Everything you post can be sent now or scheduled for later — so you can line up a week of posts in one sitting. You own the rights check on any music or media you upload.

Billing

Manage or cancel anytime

Your plan and monthly usage appear at the top of the dashboard. Card subscribers can select Manage billing / cancel to update a card, view invoices, or cancel — keeping access through the end of the paid period.
